Attended a Sangeet yesterday. So much of fun and so many dressed up boys and girls. Took down a few fashion tips here n there. Both Bride and Groom were my friends and that meant more fun as my other friends were there too. There was a lot of Amali-Thumali.
Sangeet meant lots of music and dancing. True to that family members performed choreographed dance numbers and that was a treat to watch. Some really good dancers and some who gave us a good laugh with their robotics.
Sangeet also meant dresses. Bride and groom apart, a North Indian wedding is full of glitter and glam. Every member in the crowd had taken special care in dressing right. Make up and hair done perfectly and dresses that glittered under the lights. Varieties of Sherwanis were on display too. It was a glittery riot of colours.
Bride and Groom. A very cute couple. I had smelled something fishy long back but was told that they were just good friends. Friends they were but all the more an awesome looking couple. She was all pink, including her dress and he was looking like a prince in his Sherwani and less nervous that his wife to be.
And of course mad dancing. When the dance floor was thrown open, even stiff-legged people like me joined in. Let us just say that I used the opportunity and me and my friends danced till the last song.
But where are the sweets?? This was the question that struck me this morning. With all this happening we ended up as the last few at the buffet. Chats were already closed :(. That was a dampener. But the food was good. As an after thought realised that there were no sweets.
But nothing to fret about. Planning to fulfill all that at the wedding dinner today.
But here is the punch!!
With Sweethearts like the Bride and Groom, who needs any sugary confections!!
